To honour and celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th and Women's History Month March, the students of the 4A7so and 4B/so wrote letters from Susan B. Anthony's perspective. The American Susan B. Anthony played an important role in the fight for suffrage for women. Her lifetime efforts and struggles for equality only paid off after her death when women in America finally got the right to vote with the Ninetheenth Amendment in 1920, which was named after her. (Women in Italy were allowed to vote even later, in 1946).
“What would Susan B. Anthony have liked to tell the women of 2023?” was the question we reflected about. If you're interested in what we have come up with, come to our library and read some of Susan B. Anthony's letters to us ….
